How it began

Odopa's journey into showcasing Afrikan culture in the Northwest of England began with a simple yet powerful realisation that the rich tapestry of Afrikan artistic traditions deserved a more prominent platform within the British multicultural landscape.

As an Afrikan from with historical background from Tamale and the Asante Kingdom of Ghana, she saw the immersed in the vibrant colours, rhythms, and stories of Afrikan heritage, she witnessed firsthand the transformative power of cultural expression. Odopa noticed a gap for authentic Afrikan arts and culture within the multicultural educational set up in the UK when she settled in the UK.

Driven by passion of culture and arts, Odopa founded Odopa Cultural Group with a clear mission- to celebrate, preserve, and elevate Afrikan artistic excellence while fostering meaningful cross-cultural dialogue.
